More Great News

Me and Jared are still adjusting to life with a little one. Just as we get good and settled into a routine, we will be blessed with Miss Whitley.

Miss Whitley is doing AWESOME. As mentioned in my last blog...Miss Whitley was sitting at 2L on her vapotherm. She was also around 28 percent on her Oxygen. Well....more good news came from the NICU today. Miss Whitley was moved from her vapotherm to a regular nasal cannula. The vapotherm was a providing a positive pressure that was reminding her to take a few breaths. Since she is now on the nasal cannual, she is just receiving oxygen at 25 percent. What a blessing!!!

Another big step came today for Miss Whitley as well! She is now bottle feeding once every shift. I went in at 8 p.m. to give her the first bottle. I was a little nervous to be honest with you. However, she did GREAT. She took all 35 cc's like a pro. I think she even did better than Wyatt did the first few times. She was completley worn out afterwards though.

She seems to be improving by leaps and bounds daily. We continue to pray for her progress and know that we will have her in our arms before too long.

Wyatt is sleeping through the nights for the most part. He wakes up about every 3-4 hours for his bottle but goes right back to sleep. He is really a good baby.

We have been truly blessed. Can't wait for many more blessings to come.
